The IRS gave an automatic extension for people in Israel, until 9/30/25, due to the terrorist attacks of 10/7/23 and the Iranian attacks of 9/30/24.

This applies not only for taxpayers located in Israel, but also for those whose tax preparer is located in Israel, but they themselves live somewhere else.

So if you forgot to file for an extension, just hire a tax preparer in Israel to prepare your 2023 or 2024 tax return, and it will be automatically, retroactively extended to 9/30/25.
